Shipments to the United States have been temporarily suspended due to U.S. Executive Order 14324.
- This order requires a 35% tariff (import tax) to be paid by the shipper (Northern Ultralight) prior to being accepted by our postal system. Including all costs & fees associated with remitting these duties (taxes) to the U.S. government, the total additional cost to you (the customer) would be approximately 40% or more of your total order value. These duties are required to be paid even though our Canadian-based production qualifies our products for duty-free trade to the U.S. and Mexico under the CUSMA trade agreement.
- As a small company with limited resources, we have made the decision to temporarily halt orders to the U.S. as we asses the impact of implementing the systems required to comply with this Executive Order. We apologize for this inconvenience, and we sincerely hope that ongoing trade relations will result in a fair and reasonable agreement for all parties involved. We ask your understanding regarding this situation. Thank you.
